Laheq Halak is a social impact mobile app developed by EarthWise for Green Technology Solutions, a Palestinian startup focused on sustainability and digital innovation. The app reduces food waste and addresses food insecurity by connecting vendors—like bakeries, produce shops, supermarkets, and food manufacturers—with nearby consumers seeking affordable, quality meals.
Vendors list surplus or near-expiry food at reduced prices—or choose to donate it. Consumers browse offers, pay securely, and pick up in-store. The app supports Arabic and English, is designed for low-tech use, and includes surprise bags, vendor dashboards, and impact tracking.
Our model creates a win-win-win: vendors reduce losses and reach new customers, families access nutritious food at lower prices, and food waste is prevented—benefiting people, business, and the planet.
Laheq Halak aligns with SDGs 2, 3, 10, 12, 13, and 17, and is preparing for launch in Palestine with plans to expand across the MENA region.
