The Korea Institute for Robot Industry Advancement (KIRIA) is a government-affiliated organization established under the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy in accordance with the Intelligent Robots Development and Distribution Promotion Act. Its mission is to systematically foster the intelligent robotics industry in Korea by developing related policies, supporting technology innovation, promoting international cooperation, supporting robot certification and standardization, and nurturing professional talent in the field. KIRIA is headquartered in Daegu, South Korea, and acts as the control tower for Korea’s robot industry, working to create a better future with robots through policy development, market creation, and active support for both industrial and service robots.
