KazAeroSpace creates digital 2D and 3D maps and digital twins of cities using aerial photography, satellite imagery, and computer technologies.
KazAeroSpace (KAS) was founded in 2015. KAS creates digital 2D and 3D maps and digital twins of cities using aerial photography, satellite imagery, and computer technologies. These maps enable: • Developing thematic city maps; • Monitoring changes in urban infrastructure; • Increasing the taxable base; • Creating a situation center for real-time monitoring with the ability to integrate outdoor surveillance cameras; • Monitoring wind loads; • Monitoring water resource conditions based on a hydrological map; • Creating investment and geo-tax maps of the region to attract new investors. KAS's portfolio currently includes a number of successful projects, such as the creation of digital twins of Astana, Almaty, and other cities, which have proven effective for use by government agencies. In July 2023, at the annual Esri User Conference (Esri UC) held in San Diego, USA, KAS was awarded the Special Achievement in GIS Award (SAG) for its innovative use of mapping and analytical technologies.
